Animal jewelry lovers and drama queens know Donald Stannard for his fantastic creature pieces. He started working in the 1960s under Kenneth Jay Lane, then launched his own line in 1972. Stannard created jewelry for shows like Dynasty. His pieces are classic, clever, beautifully made.
Vintage cold enamel and gold plated metal. Made by Donald Stannard. As it sits with mouth to end, the inner circumference measures 6.5 inches, with room to expand to 7 if you don't mind a snug fit. The head is 1.25" wide. The enamel finish is in very good condition, with some wear but no chips. The gold plating is worn at the horns and edges. Horns on one side have a bit of wear to the underlying metal. This guy was well loved! A very charming fellow.
