Our Mission & Humans
To offer an inspired shopping experience that blends super cool merch with environmental love!
We believe in:
~ The power of plants and animals to inspire humans.
~ Celebrating your unique personal style.
~ The Fashion Revolution toward a world with less waste. Old is the New New!
Owner and creator (Kat) formerly worked in the conservation world to develop books, exhibits, and educational programs for world-renowned wildlife parks and botanical gardens in NYC and abroad. A lifelong antiques collector and style maven, she decided to combine her passions and talents in Feather & Foxglove, to spread the love of nature and conservation through secondhand style. She carefully chooses every piece in our collection, and creates imagery and text for the online gallery.
Technical Advisor (Brian) is an artist and studio director with expertise in glass, sculpture, and painting. He formerly dealt in artifacts and antiques while working as a set designer in LA. Brian knows how to repair pretty much anything.
Models in product photos are friends and customers who we are grateful to for their support! (Shots of hands only are professional models, details below.)
Rachel is a designer, photographer, dog rescuer, antique collector, and bold fashionista. In addition to human and dog portraiture, she captures vibrant urban street scenes.
Jessica Bloom is a NYC editorial photographer whom we have been lucky to partner with on creative shoots featuring our products, styled with artistic cruelty-free manicures and delicious florals. This spring our all female collab project, called Vernal Romance, included hand models Emily and and Marnie wearing manicures by Frances Liang, created with botanical-inspired polishes by Christine Koehler's Flora 1761 brand; everything was set in vignettes by visual arts company Mayday, amid lush flowers designed by POME Florals. It was a dream project with a dream team.
