Water Moccasins, Agkistrodon piscivorus, are aquatic snakes found in wet habitats like swamps, rivers, lakes and even sometimes saltwater. These swimmers are a beautiful black color, with white underbellies and white mouths (hence their other name, Cottonmouth) that open wide when they feel threatened.
