A super interesting and rare 1970's art piece, made by the Met Museum. This historical bracelet honors the head of a beast from the Cross of Cong, an Irish religious artifact from the 12th Century from Cong Abbey (currently held at the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin). This bracelet was made from a mold of the actual cross, which features this stylized creature chomping at the base.
Vintage pewter. Marked MMA 1977 NMD. Measures 6.5 inner circumference. Face just over 2" long. Excellent condition.
