Overlapping linked scales give this choker the ultimate slither. When you're not wearing her, you'll keep this beauty on display. It's just that good! The brilliantly detailed serpentine design has stood the test of time - this necklace is 80-90 years old and retains the same appeal now as it did in your granny's day. Relatively thin metal and a hollow form make this lightweight and easy to wear. A safety chain adds security.

This articulated deco snake was crafted in gold and silver finish, in long and short versions for the neck, wrist, or waist. Pieces like this are somewhat rare on the market so we've taken a few years to build up a mini collection for you....a gold choker and belt are coming to our webshop soon. Email for details.

Almost-antique silver plated metal and crystals. Marked Pat. Pend, estimated 1930-40's. Measures just under 16" from hook to clasp. Wearable doubled up on a petite arm (shown on a 5.5" wrist). Good condition with some damage to silver finish at the back as seen in photo six. Eyes are bright and sparkly!

There are four types of snake locomotion: Serpentine : “lateral undulation” or sexy side-to-side movement for watery or hard surfaces. Sidewinding : bending sideways and vertically, for example to skirt hot desert sand. Rectilinear : tiny movements in the stomach send them straight forward, to navigate narrow passageways. And, finally, Concertina : coiling up then shooting themselves forward.
