Regular price $750.00 Sale

A long-bodied hound doing acrobatics on top of a purse?! Oh yes! This highly unusual and charismatic bag features a ridiculously charming yoga dog handle and gold ball feet, with faux croc patent leather. The tall boxy shape fits all your modern needs, and a long chain allows your to tote this cutie over your shoulder or crossbody. A doxie lovers dream!

Vintage patent leather and gold plated metal with a satin finish. Made in the 1990's by Lee Wolfe, a design duo who never made exactly the same bag twice. A fantastic piece of history, and an incredible find for the rare purse collector.

Bag body measures approximately 6" tall and 6.5" wide at top, 5" at bottom, and 2.5" deep at the largest point. Note, the upper depth is very slim. Fits a cell phone under 6" long. Features a double snap closure, and one interior zip pocket. A slinky gold chain drops 19" to the top of the handle, 21" to the top of the bag. Very good to excellent condition, with some age marks (minor indentation on the puff of the exterior; wear to interior leather, perhaps from patent treatment). Please note: finish is extremely shiny, light spots in images are glare not deterioration. Patent is intact and shiny; gold finish is bright.

Affectionately called wiener or sausage dog, the name dachshund translates from German as badger dog. Their elongated bodies, strong legs, and tenacious personalities were bred in the 1800's for the very specific task of badger hunting. Today the American Kennel Club calls the doxie “a superstar of the canine kingdom."

Feather & Foxglove shares a portion of sales to support wildlife conservation and animal welfare.
