While a spotted print often gets the label of leopard, it's possible Ms. Khan had a different spotted feline in mind...or perhaps a blend of several wild cats! A leopard's coat has dark spots that are arranged in clusters called rosettes, with brown at the center. This simpler spotted pattern might be inspired by the Eurasian Lynx. Both Leopard and Eurasian Lynx are among the 15 wild cat species in India, the designer's childhood home.
