Tiny berry-like red buttons dot the silky golden backdrop of this darling display case. Flora and fauna held significant meaning in the Victorian Era ~ and it’s widely said that berries symbolized perfection and “sweetness in life and character.” Sweet and perfect is a description that suits this little old box! The tiny hook was originally meant for a pocket watch but can hold most any small jewel from lockets to pendants and brooches. A beautiful piece of history.

Antique metal and glass, mid to late 1800’s. Measures 4.5” from feet to top of upright handle. Interior is 2.25” high, 2” wide, 2” deep at base, .5” at top. Very good condition. Gilding is worn; lining is excellent; glass is excellent for this age. Glass will be cleaned upon order, unless the buyer requests the box in original condition.
