Sure we could call this the Dall Sheep belt, but Ovis dalli dalli has such a nice ring to it! They're a white curly-horned sheep primarily found in The Yukon and Alaska. Bold and impressive like the wild sheep itself, this belt was made by fashion legend Judith Leiber. Smartly designed with a slide that allows you to adjust for any outfit, and strips of leather worked into the face. Stunning.
Vintage leather and metal with plastic accents. Judith Leiber, 1980-90's. Face measures just over 2" tall, 4.5" wide from horn to horn. Belt is fully adjustable to a maximum of 36" long. Very good condition with slight wear from age and use.
Dall Sheep are in the same family as bighorn sheep, but Dalls have curlier thinner head accessories (they’re actually called "thinhorn" sheep). But one may argue that this belt’s creature feature looks more like Ovis ammon polii, an Asian species with the longest, most flourishing curly horns of all the sheep on Earth.
