In 1954, Castlecliff (whose tagline was The talked-about jewelry) advertised this animalistic cuff with the poetic text: "Golden jaguar, flowing feline grace, bold and dramatic beauty, captured in a magnificently modeled bracelet textured with jaguar markings that are repeated in the dome earrings." That description holds true today - and if we ever find the earrings, whomever buys this bracelet will be the first to know!
Vintage gold plated metal and crystals. Marked Castlecliff. Measures 1.5" tall at jaguar front. Fits up to a 7 inch wrist. Can be worn larger if you don't mind a snug fit and the tiny button stopper showing. In excellent condition for her age with only the faintest scar on one ear. Her golden coat and sparkling eyes are intact.
Shown with our 60's Epic Jaguar Bag available in a separate listing and 80's Leopard Ring (not listed yet but available).
What makes jaguar markings different from those of a leopard? Jaguars have black dots in the middle of their rosettes while leopards do not. While you can't see details of the spots in this gold bracelet, you can see the classic shorter legs of a jag.
