At 13 pounds, Marmota monax (aka Groundhog or Woodchuck) is the biggest critter in the squirrel family. This little opalescent glass guy weighs less than two pounds, but is just as cute as the real thing. Cuter maybe, since he won't nibble down your garden! Our petite lavender friend hails from Ohio, made by Boyd's Crystal Art Glass. He likes to surround himself with shiny objects and trinket dishes. Won't you make him part of your collection of pretty old things?

Vintage molded glass. Marked with Boyd's logo from 1983-88. Measures 5" tall, 2" wide. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

Shown with our Rosy Ring Dishes and Trailing Roses Vanity Tray.

It's the eternal question...How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Well the answer is about 700 pounds! According to Cornell University. "A wildlife biologist once measured the inside volume of a typical woodchuck burrow and estimated that -- if wood filled the hole instead of dirt -- the industrious animal would have chucked about 700 pounds' worth." (Thanks Cornell.edu !)
