We can't get over the finely crafted features of this beautiful mama and joey kangaroo. Mama's big feet are simply delicious, and both have lively eyes and ears. They are "faux" taxidermy, in which commercial animal fur (sometimes rabbit or goat) is formed over plastic to make life-like model creatures.
Vintage animal fur on plastic. Unmarked. Approximate measurements: 10" tall, 9.5" toes to tail, 4" across hips. Minor wear. Not a toy.
Large kangaroos in the genus Macropus are human-sized but their newborns pop out like tiny fruits! The "joey" climbs into the mamas pouch to develop. Once a joey is strong enough, it starts coming out to explore the world but stays in Mama's pouch.
